This policy explains how this website uses cookies and similar technologies, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. They can be used to make a website work, to remember your preferences or to collect information about how a website is used.
2. How we use cookies
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. This website does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies that are essential for delivering the website securely, for example to balance traffic or to protect the site against malicious activity. Under PECR, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. They do not identify you personally and are not used for marketing.
| Category | Purpose | Consent required | Used on this site |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security and delivery of the website | No | Only where set by our hosting provider |
| Analytics / performance | Understanding how visitors use the site | Yes | No |
| Advertising / targeting | Tailoring adverts and tracking across websites | Yes | No |
3. Third-party content
This website loads web fonts from Google Fonts. To deliver the fonts, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information. Google Fonts does not set cookies. Please see Google’s privacy policy for more information.
When you follow a link to another website, such as the CORTEN-VIN website, that website’s own cookie policy applies.
4. If we change our approach
If we introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics cookies, we will ask for your consent first using a cookie banner. We will not set those cookies unless you agree, and you will be able to change your choice at any time. We will also update this policy to list them.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers explain how to do this in their help pages. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website works.
